By being a Play It Forward sponsor you will help to build a stronger, more vibrant future for Bluegrass Music Association of Maine.  Donations to the Play It Forward Program will create an opportunity for increased participation in the Maine bluegrass community, relationship-building with bluegrass musicians and fans, and connection with new potential members.

Play It Forward works like when you are at the coffee shop and pay for the person in back of you. We are hoping that the person you sponsor will in turn play it forward so we can continue the process.

Please get involved with BMAM and let’s have some fun this year with the upcoming Bluegrass music events!  Invite and Sponsor a member today!

BLUEGRASS MUSIC ASSOCIATION OF MAINE

PLAY IT FORWARD MEMBER SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Click headings below to see a detailed description.

The Play It Forward (PIF) Member Sponsorship Program was created to increase BMAM membership through development of a Play It Forward Fund. This fund will be supported through donations by sponsors and will be distributed for Play It Forward Memberships.  A person, who opts to be a sponsor by donating to the fund, can designate recipients who will be invited to become a BMAM member for one year at no cost to the recipient.
Donations to the Play It Forward Member Sponsorship Program will create an opportunity for increased participation in the Maine bluegrass community, relationship-building with bluegrass musicians and fans, and connection with new potential members.

Sponsors donate funds to the Play It Forward Fund in $15 increments. The sponsor can suggest a recipient for each membership donation. The sponsor will provide contact information for the PIF Member recipient. The recipient will be mailed an invitation to become a member and will receive a Member Registration Form to be completed and submitted within 30 days to activate membership.   Should the suggested recipient not accept the invitation to join, the donated funds will remain in the PIF Fund to be used for future invitations to BMAM as suggested by the BMAM Board of Directors. Donations to the PIF Fund are non-refundable.

Contributions may be made directly to the Play It Forward Fund without designating a Recipient.   Non-designated donations will be distributed through invitation to Recipients at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

The Recipient(s) is offered an individual (Solo) membership into the Bluegrass Music Association of Maine through an invitation. The Recipient will receive a membership form to be completed and returned to the BMAM Secretary within 30 days of the original postmark or email date of the invitation to accept the PIF membership.  The annual BMAM membership fee is paid in full through the Play It Forward Fund.  If the individual accepts the membership invitation, they will enjoy access to the full suite of benefits afforded by a BMAM membership including discounts at BMAM sponsored events, the quarterly newsletter, and more!  Should the suggested recipient not accept the invitation to join, the donated funds will remain in the Play It Forward Fund to be used for future invitations to recipients as suggested by the BMAM Board of Directors.

The Recipient, at the time of invitation, will be provided the opportunity to Play It Forward as a sponsor, furthering the mission of the program.  There is however, no expectation or requirement that a recipient member become a sponsor.
