Tough End String Band at Cadenza

Tough End String Band serves up an acoustic brew concocted in Orono’s historically notorious Tough End neighborhood. TESB presents a diverse, eclectic repertoire: a 1930’s jazz tune follows a traditional fiddle medley; a bluegrass tune is juxtaposed with White Stripes. TESB is in a transitioning time. We are sad to see the recent passing of TESB’s founding bass player and member, Paul Riechmann but we continue to make music in his memory. The current TESB trio includes Anthony Viselli on fiddle and mandolin, Sam Furth on Guitar, and Susan Elias on upright bass.

Adjacent to the Amtrak station. Plenty of parking. From I-95 take either Freeport exit and follow Route 1 into downtown Freeport. Look for Depot Street, a short cross-street near the main shops and L.L. Bean.
