Stillwater @ Wayside Grange and Theater

Tickets $15, no reservations, doors open at 6:30. Intermission with pretty good coffee and refreshments by donation. Stillwater makes their debut appearance at Wayside in 2026. Taking their name from the river in Old Town, this six-piece band from near and far formed in 2023 and consists of Trip Nickel (flatpick guitar), Yoni Musher (mandolin, mandola), Kiera Luu (double bass), George Horvat (fiddle), Noah Vaughn Jackson (banjo), and Jack Pasternak (dobro, banjo). They played at the well respected Joe Val Bluegrass Festival in 2026. Stillwater is an enigmatic and spirited bluegrass sextet. Formed on the wooded shores of the Stillwater River in Old Town, Maine in the summer of 2023, Stillwater has emerged as a motivated and hardworking new voice in the New England Bluegrass scene. Drawing upon inspiration in jazz, bluegrass, jamband, folk, and old-time genres, Stillwater crafts a multi-faceted and memorable experience for listeners. Featured on competition and showcase stages at the Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Festival, Podunk bluegrass festival, Ossippee Valley Music Festival, the Downeast Rock and Roots Festival, and the Crooked River Gathering, Stillwater has made the most of their short time together, leaving an air of excitement for future releases and shows. Original works on their 2024 debut single Piney Point and latest release The Cedar House Sessions Vol. 1 tell stories of adolescence, young adulthood, and all the complicated emotions attached.
