Jim Lauderdale embodies the sound of American roots music, earning a 2025 induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and continuing a remarkably prolific career with two new albums set for release in 2026. Since his debut Planet of Love(1991), he has become a go-to songwriter on Music Row, with songs recorded by artists like George Strait, Patty Loveless, The Chicks, and Lucinda Williams. A two-time Grammy winner for Best Bluegrass Album, Lauderdale has also collaborated widely, including a six-album run with Robert Hunter.
