Melissa is a classically trained fiddler with a degree in Music Education from the University of Maine. She has taught in Maine public schools and performs with Jerks of Grass, Cumberland Crossing, and Sugar Hill Stringband. She co-directs the New England Fiddle Ensemble and runs Fiddleheads Acoustic Jam Camp. Melissa teaches privately in Scarborough and hosts a welcoming bluegrass jam.

Matt Shipman and Erica Brown offer private and group lessons in fiddle, guitar, mandolin, bouzouki, and clawhammer banjo. With over 20 years of teaching experience, they provide a welcoming, flexible learning environment for all ages and skill levels.
