Maine Country Music Hall of Fame “EXTRAVAGANZA 2025” Benefit Fundraiser

The Maine Country Music Hall of Fame presents its annual Benefit Fundraiser Show, “EXTRAVAGANZA 2025” on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 1 PM at The Silver Spur Dance Club, Mechanic Falls, Maine with featured headliner, the DON CAMPBELL BAND. The 3-hour live show also includes special guests PRESTON & CURRY. Don Campbell, Mike Preston and Kim Curry are all recent inductees into the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame.

Don Campbell, inducted in 2022, leads the DON CAMPBELL BAND, a highly versatile, energetic ensemble, blending varied styles, from Campbell’s own heartfelt original creations to the music of Dan Fogelberg, The Smithereens, Johnny Cash, John Denver and Van Halen. Growing up in Scarborough, Maine, Campbell spent his teen years in Portland’s Old Port sitting at the feet of local heroes like Devonsquare and Schooner Fare. An award-winning, multi-instrumentalist, and lead singer/songwriter for the band, Campbell won the Maine Sunday Telegram’s “favorite Maine songwriter” for six consecutive years. Band members include Tom Dyhrberg, bass and vocals; Tom Yoder, fiddle, mandolin, keyboard and guitar; John DeQuattro guitar; and Gino Grassi, drums.
PRESTON & CURRY (Mike Preston and Kim Curry), also Hall of Famers, were inducted in 2024 and 2025 respectively. They comprise this acoustic duo, covering over eight decades of country and contemporary music. Preston, the youngest member of the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame, performs on vocals and guitar. A native of New Jersey, he began performing at age four. At age 10, he bought his first guitar and became a self-taught musician. He performed with Dick Curless, Kenny Roberts, Betty Cody, Slim Clark, Al Hawkes and Rusty Rogers on both TV and radio and spent many years on the Nashville night club circuit, finally settling in Maine. Curry, born in Portland, Maine, was an active member of school choruses and chamber singers as a teen and eventually formed her first band playing rhythm guitar and singing harmonies. She won female vocalist for the State of Maine in 1979, played in several bands over the years, and eventually joined Preston, singing vocals and playing self-taught bass guitar.

The EXTRAVAGANZA Benefit show begins at 1 PM, at The Silver Spur Dance Club, 272 Lewiston St, (Rts. 11 & 121) Mechanic Falls, Maine. Doors open at 11:30 AM.
