There’s still time to sign up for Vacationland Jam Camp – September 15 – 17 at the beautiful Searsport Shores Oceanside Campground.
Join some of Maine’s best bluegrass teachers – Erica Brown, Matt Shipman and Steve Roy (Erica Brown &the Bluegrass Connection, Darlin’ Corey) along with Carter Logan (Jerks of Grass), Baron Collins-Hill (Velocipede)
and uke teacher extraordinaire Frets Halligan for a fun filled, relaxing weekend of Bluegrass jamming.
The weekend will include 10 hours of classroom instruction, plus additional workshops, hours of jamming, an on-site luthier, a slow jam for beginners and a teacher concert featuring Erica Brown and friends. The camp takes place on the shores of Penobscot Bay with ocean side camping, kayaking, and hiking trails.
A special novice workshop will be held on Thursday Sept 14 for first time bluegrass jammers, plus a 2 hour vocal harmony workshop on Friday before the official event begins.
The event is open to all or most stringed instruments including guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, bass, and ukulele.
